Star Analyser: First Results

The Star analyser low-resolultion diffraction grating has produced our first spectrum.  The result displayed here is a single 20 second snapshot taken on 22/09/07. Processed results will appear here soon.

Why is the image black & white?

• The camera being used normally produces colour by using Red, Green & Blue filters; in this case, the diffraction grating is being used instead, so a greyscale image is the result.
