- Project Galileo is a community telescope: run by schools for schools; the main running of the Project will initially be performed by pupils in schools across the city of Bristol as links with local schools and projects are established. Within one year of initial on-line access, the full operational capabilities will be offered to schools from around the UK.
- Curriculum development: will grow as schools become involved and will be appropriate to the schemes of work and syllabi that participating schools use as part of their everyday teaching.
- A growing partnership between schools: which will provide teachers opportunities to communicate their ideas and experiences using the Project Galileo Forum, an on-line message board and discussion portal. This will link different subjects and Key stages in an easy to use format, enabling teachers to borrow ideas and materials for shared use.
