UK Government to slash astronomy & particle physics funding |

The British Astronomical Association reports that the UK government is to slash funding in astronomy & particle Physics research. This is a real shame, and what makes it worse is that there was no real warning that it was coming. To find out more, visit the BAA article here. Also, consider signing the on-line petition which demands that the Government re-thinks this short-sighted strategy.
